Portia Bourke (Class of 2017) made her NRLW Debut for the Wests Tigers in Round 7 against the St George Illawarra Dragons. Excitingly, this game was a win for the Tigers with a score of 16 - 12. Following her debut, Portia continued to play for the rest of the season, where she was on the field for 70 minutes or more. In her second game, she made a try assist.
Portia's NRLW journey began in 2020 with Valleys Diehards, before stints with Easts Tigers and Norths Devils in the BMD Premiership. Portia described her debut as a dream she’d had for so long, and that she thought it was a lie when her manager called to tell her, as she wasn't expecting it.
While the Wests Tigers may not have made the finals this year, we wish Portia all the best for the 2026 season!
